Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Stance at getstance.app. By creating an account or using Stance, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What Stance is

Stance is a personal publishing intelligence tool. It uses AI to help professionals create content that reflects their own voice, perspective, and expertise — starting with LinkedIn and expanding to other professional platforms over time. Stance generates content based on inputs you provide. It does not publish content on your behalf without your explicit action.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Stance. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

You may not share your account with others or use Stance to generate content on behalf of multiple individuals under a single account. Each account is for one person's voice profile.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you provide to Stance — your profile text, past content, recordings, and any other inputs. You grant Stance a limited license to process this content for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You own the content Stance generates for you. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before publishing it anywhere. Stance does not guarantee that generated content is accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your specific audience or context.

You must not use Stance to generate content that is false, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or in violation of any applicable laws or third-party platform policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Stance to generate spam, bulk content, or content designed to deceive
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from Stance
• Use Stance in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls
• Use Stance to impersonate another person or entity
• Resell or sublicense access to Stance without written permission

5. AI-generated content

Stance uses large language models to generate content. By nature, AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not perfectly aligned with your views. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any content before publishing it.

Stance makes no claim that generated content is original, unique, or free from similarity to other content. You should satisfy yourself that any content you publish complies with applicable copyright and platform policies.

6. Paid plans

Stance offers free and paid tiers. Paid plans are billed monthly. All prices are displayed at the time of purchase and are in the currency shown at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — we do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Stance available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or make changes to the product at any time. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Stance is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that generated content will be accurate or effective, or that the service will be error-free. Use Stance at your own discretion and risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stance and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to reputational damage, loss of business, or loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use Stance ceases immediately. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-product notice with at least 14 days notice before changes take effect. Continued use of Stance after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.
